And so it begins….For some time now I’ve felt a calling to be more creative, to forge a new path and to write about something I am passionate about. Those first steps are always the hardest to take when we embark on any new journey. The fear of failure or of not being good enough are often blocks that stop us from turning a mere notion into action.

When I first decided I wanted to write a blog on Spiritualism and in particular my spiritual journey thus far I had reservations. How could I as a relative newbie, write a blog on Spiritualism when others have spent decades if not devoting their entire life’s to developing their skills and knowledge?

On the other hand we all have to start somewhere. I thought maybe it could be nice for others who are starting out on their journey’s to be able to explore some of the areas I have and if it helps them in anyway then great!

I consider myself as very much a normal guy, I’m married to an amazing woman have four boys and a regular job as a tradesman(check blog title for spoiler!). My spiritual awakening happened while the country was in the middle of lockdown amidst the Covid pandemic.

As difficult as Lockdown was in the way it restricted our every day activities it provided an opportunity for many to enjoy a slower paced life, time for reflection and quality time with family. Each weekend my wife and I would spend the weekend together in our log cabin.

We would have a drink and after a few would bring out the karaoke mics. Even though our log cabins literally 20 yards from the house it felt like a little escape and time to enjoy each other’s company…our own little bubble if you like!

Unknown to me at the time singing and enjoying music is a great way of raising your vibration as is being a grateful or being a positive person. Other ways we can raise our vibration include spending time in nature, meditating and generally trying to be the best version of ourselves . A bit more on Vibration:-

Orbs!

Anyway back to the story! Whilst recording each other singing I started to notice what looked like white balls of light floating across the screen, occasionally the colour would change into purple’s, greens, light blue’s and pinks. What were these balls of light and why were they here? In the video above if you pay attention to how the orbs move you notice that some do this hovering/floaty like movement almost as if they’re interacting with the music which is a testimony to them considering our signing is so bad! There are other smaller orbs or sprites that you can see in the mirror area that appear to blink intermittently. In the video below, orbs can be seen moving at a much faster rate

Orbs have often been described as ‘a spiritual vehicle for a loved one, angel or guide, or spiritual being to move from one realm to another’. As excited as I was about what I thought they were I was interested if there was indeed a rationale explanation as to what these balls of light could be. Some research said that that dust could be picked by the camera lens. Having observed them for around 4 years now there is definitely a difference in the way a dust particle presents on camera from how an orb does. Dust particles are translucent while I’ve observed orbs to present themselves in three different ways. I’ve recorded orbs that present themselves with a face in them that is either looking directly towards the lens of the camera or as a side profile. Orbs also present themselves as a bright colour in order to convey a message or as an energy/frequency/vibration. Here are photos of some of the different types of orbs I’ve mentioned:-

Although some faces in orbs appear human like in appearance there are others that clearly appear other worldly.

I should add at this point that at the same time I started recording/photographing these orbs I also started to feel energy around me more often. Feeling energy or spirit around you is known as Clairsentience. This is the ability to perceive psychic or emotional entry that is not detectable by our five senses. For anyone who hasn’t felt energy or the presence of spirit around you I could only describe it as feeling a vibration that flows through your body. The only comparison I could make would be to say it’s somewhere in between the feeling of having ‘goosebumps’ and a feeling you sometimes get when an emotional story or song touches you.

Some people become or are spiritually aware at a very young age while others waken at later stages in their lives but there does appear to appear a set of circumstances that seem to trigger an awakening and this was certainly true for me

Although capturing Orbs and starting to feel energy/sense spirit was a starting point for me in my spiritual journey it has certainly led to so much more.
